As a consultant, I worked with a team of designers and developers from both the french headquarters and the regional offices in Indianapolis to create a new design and theme for the Thomson corporate intranet called Shortcuts. The french corporate design team owned and contributed media and corporate assets such as the masthead area video featuring Harry Potter. I owned the overall design of the intranet itself with collaboration from the french design team, adhering to the corporate branding and guidelines. The top level site was built using a SharePoint Publishing site, the sub-level site was built using SharePoint Team sites.
DESIGN CONTRIBUTIONS:
All page layout and design, navigation design and implementation. Creation of custom graphics and design. Custom photography selection, colors, typography and layout.
DEVELOPMENT CONTRIBUTIONS:
All custom webpart creation and modifications. HTML/CSS/XSL. Masterpages. CSS Themes and pages. Administration and setup of SharePoint Publish site. Administration and setup of SharePoint Team sites. I primarily used SharePoint Designer and collaborated with a team of developers in MS Visual Studio for assisting light front-end development of the sites.
